I thought it was time to post a word to give all a quick update.

The holiday season is in full swing and we are enjoying a busy and happy time with many Christmas festivities arranged. Our youngest daughter Lilly, aged 9, recently sang ‘Silent Night’ in Cold Aston church and tonight our family will sing ‘In The Bleak Midwinter’.

I have recently played on a track for the upcoming Eric Clapton album. It was really great to reconnect with Eric after so long. Also, Jose has just finished playing one of his most successful weeks at Ronnie’s and has also spent a little time here at Lower Dean. We spent a day jamming and have begun writing some songs.

Early 2005 will see the release of a live album. We’ve had quite a lot of material to listen through but have now chosen what we think are the best tracks. This will be available next year. Keep checking the website for a release date.

Next year already seems like it’s going to be a busy year. Aside from the live album release, there will be more touring and the release of the Traffic DVD which we are all excited about. We are also going to be utilising the Internet more extensively. For those that may not know, we have been on Apple Itunes in the USA for some time and have recently made ‘About Time’ available on Itunes in the UK.

I thought I’d mention a film I’ve seen recently called ‘Riding Giants’, directed by Stacy Peralta. It’s the story of surfing from its earliest roots to the present day, especially the big wave riders. It’s a fantastic film even for the non-surfers. There’s also a soundtrack album featuring tracks like Dick Dale ‘Misirlou’ and Screamin’ Jay Hawkins ‘Makaha Waves’.

Finally, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. I would also like to thank everyone who has helped make the last 2 years successful and memorable, especially all who have turned up to the live shows, bought ‘About Time’ and given their support.
